American Red Cross Blood Drives Held in Honor of FXW Preschooler

This spring, an FXW Preschool classroom organized two American Red Cross blood drives in honor of their classmate, Mary Kate, who recently underwent treatment for cancer. They even designed t-shirts and had so much fun selling (and wearing!) them during the drive. All the proceeds from the t-shirt sales was donated to Lurie Children’s Hospital, where Mary Kate received her treatment.

The entire FXW community participated by giving blood, and collectively we were able to donate 58 units to the Red Cross, which translates to up to 174 lives saved! Click here to hear more about the inspiring story of Mary Kate and her family, recently covered on ABC-7!
