Founded in 1989, FXW has become one of the most sought-after schools in the city with two beautiful campuses. Old St. Patrick’s Campus (OSP) is located in the West Loop. 350 students in Preschool through Grade 3 begin their FXW journey at OSP. Holy Name Cathedral Campus (HNC) is located in the heart of downtown with 400 students in Grades 4-8.
When finding the right school for your child, it is important to believe in the School’s mission and feel comfortable with its “way of life.” During the admission process, The Frances Xavier Warde School seeks to provide prospective families with a clear picture of our School’s culture.
The Frances Xavier Warde School strives to maintain the expectation of academic excellence and a value-oriented education for all students through our curriculum, trainings provided for all faculty and staff, and various programming and events we offer to our community.
The Frances Xavier Warde School has a deep commitment to building a school community that truly is inclusive in perspective, diverse in composition, contemplative of our world, and self-reflective of our thoughts, words, and actions. Our goal is to be a community where all members are genuinely valued, included, and respected.
From athletics to fine arts, students compete and participate in activities that nurture and expand their personal interests. Our commitment to each child’s well-being is fulfilled when their mind, body and spirit work together.
The Frances Xavier Warde School uses a rigorous curriculum that enables all its students to grow, clarify their values, and develop decision-making skills and a sense of responsibility for themselves and the world they will inherit. As a keystone of its diverse community, The School provides need-based scholarships to 30 percent of its students.
