What would you like prospective students to know about your FXW experience?
The Frances Xavier Warde School is both spiritual and intellectual. It is a community for kindhearted people, a discussion-based environment, and a diverse student population. At its core, FXW is on a mission to create the most academic, inclusive, and most importantly, an enjoyable experience for all grade levels. For me, there has never been a lack of encouragement to explore new interests, cultures, and extracurriculars. Through a variety of classes and clubs I have found friends who share my passions.
What is your favorite part of FXW?
One of my favorite aspects of FXW is its strong sense of community and inclusion. If I ever had difficulty with a certain subject, there was a peer or instructor to engage with. If I was lonely or nervous, there was someone to welcome and guide me. If I was lacking spirit, there was someone/something to lift me up. To be a Jaguar is not only be of service to yourself, but to others as a citizen of the world, city, and school. It is a lively energy that cannot be described fully unless you are present in it.
What has been your favorite memory from your time at FXW?
If I were to pick one favorite memory from FXW, it would be our Grade 7 class trip to St. Louis. In St. Louis, I enjoyed relaxing and chatting in the hotel room with friends, exploring famous landmarks like the St. Louis Arch and the City Museum, and having some great meals. It was a time to reflect for me in the middle of a busy year, something that I continue to appreciate to this day. I also enjoy all the assemblies, holiday dances, and student council trips.
