Winter Sports
FXW’s winter sports program consists of boys and girls basketball teams in Grades 4 through 8 that compete in the Chicago Catholic Youth League. In 2022-23, our program had nearly 300 student-athletes on 22 teams. We are immensely proud of an FXW basketball program that is bursting with talent. It was a success not just because of the wins on the court — although there were plenty of those — but because of dedicated coaches, faithful families and determined athletes who learned the meaning of dedication and teamwork. These athletes showed what sportsmanship was like while winning the annual Cardinal Cup, then dominated the Chicago Catholic Youth League playoffs with three of our teams winning their respective title games. An additional three teams made it all the way to their league title games.
